A practical checklist for choosing an AI assistant.

Start with the conversation, data boundaries and total cost. Then compare the interface.

Start with constraints

List the audio sources, languages, operating systems and meeting rules you need to support. A tool that misses one required source is not made suitable by a long feature list.

Measure the full cost

Software price, transcription minutes, model tokens and hosting are separate costs. Orvunia's local source is free to obtain, while selected providers may charge for usage. Cloud prices and allowances are listed on the pricing page.

Test exit paths

Check that you can export work, change providers, stop active requests and recover from an interrupted update. Those paths matter long after the first demo.
