An open project
Orvunia brings conversation and technical interview assistance into an open codebase. The aim is to let you install, understand, modify, and host the tool.
Personal installation avoids mandatory infrastructure: the backend starts with the app, and data stays on the computer. The exported source includes guides to running and verifying the project.
Rebuilt in the open
We studied commercial assistant workflows and rebuilt selected conversation and technical flows in an open desktop core. You can inspect how context, providers and local history work instead of relying only on a marketing promise.
The public core and the private hosted service have separate responsibilities. The source, asset notices and documented limitations make those boundaries visible.
One app, two modes
General conversation organizes transcripts, documents, suggestions and notes. Technical interviews add problem captures, code, approved repository context, attempts and deeper explanations in the same app.
The modes share history and core settings while offering their own paths for each kind of conversation.
Models do not need to be a closed box
For local use, you configure response and transcription services. Compatibility and available capabilities depend on the adapters and environment.
Orvunia Cloud provides managed AI usage through Free, Supporter and Supporter Plus monthly allowances. Paid checkout is currently closed. Local installation remains free, open source and independent of a Cloud account or subscription.
Clarity before promises
We do not claim latency, accuracy, or universal invisibility without evidence. We describe the capabilities, conditions, and what you should test in your environment.
Orvunia is a supporting tool. Conversation outcomes, reviewing answers, and respecting an assessment's rules remain the responsibility of the person using it.
