Windows desktop app
Download a published artifact from the download page. The installer prepares the app; the portable edition can open without a traditional installation. Compare the file's hash with the published value.
On first launch, complete the introduction and open provider settings. The app starts and supervises the local backend. Personal installation does not require a Orvunia account.
From source
Use Bun 1.4.3 and a complete project checkout. The source export includes client bundles; the personal backend resolves its dependencies without installing the old Node server.
From the public desktop core repository root, run the commands below. Open the loopback address printed by the personal launcher; keep its data directory separate from any installed desktop profile.
bun install --frozen-lockfile --ignore-scripts
bun run build
bun startWith Linux Docker Engine
From the public desktop core repository root, build its Dockerfile and run the image. It uses host networking, a loopback binding, and a dedicated volume. Redis and PostgreSQL are not required.
Host networking requires Linux Docker Engine. This personal backend remains a local service; it is not the private Cloud server.
docker build -t orvunia-personal .
docker run --rm --network host -v orvunia-personal:/data orvunia-personalLook after your data
Do not point the personal launcher at an Electron directory, an existing installation, or the source tree. The launcher rejects these locations to prevent mixing profiles.
Stop the app before copying data for backup. Consult the project's recovery procedures before moving or replacing an existing profile.
